In fact, Arcadia has been designated a Tree City USA for seventeen consecutive years.
Arcadia also has a broad range of businesses encompassed in its 11.2 square-mile area. From small startups to large corporations, there is something available for every individual. In recent years, downtown Arcadia has seen a resurgence in popularity. Among the frequented destinations is Westfield Santa Anita, a regional mall. Equestrian enthusiasts can enjoy horse races and other events at the Santa Anita Race Track, thought of as one of the top facilities of its kind in the country.
Nature lovers will also be pleased by Arcadia’s variety of indoor and outdoor options. A popular destination for individuals and families alike is the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. This 127-acre historical site is nestled in the hills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Various trails, parks, and recreation areas span the city and include the Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park; the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area; the Santa Fe Dam and Recreation Area; and the Hermit Falls.
