Pink Moving’s Most Frequently Asked Questions – Part 1

Can you come out for an in-home estimate?

We schedule smaller moves over the phone but prefer to provide an onsite estimate for larger moves.

Yes. We schedule smaller moves over the phone but prefer to provide an onsite estimate for larger moves. There is no charge or obligation to have one of the Pink brothers give an onsite written estimate.

How many movers will I get for my move?

No two moves are the same. We can either schedule the appropriate size crew over the phone for smaller jobs or set up an onsite written estimate to schedule the correct manpower.

Can the movers disconnect and reconnect gas and water lines?

Our insurance company does not allow us to connect or disconnect gas and water lines. This includes washing machines, dryers, gas stoves, refrigerator water lines, etc. We recommend you have these disconnect prior to the move and make arrangements for appliances to be reconnected at destination.

Do the movers provide any boxes?

No. Unless a customer has made arrangements with our office ahead of time the truck will not have packing materials. This includes clothing wardrobes and boxes for flat screen TV’s.

Do I need to empty out drawers?

In most cases dresser drawers may remain loaded during the move. This is also true with upright file cabinets; however, all lateral file cabinet drawers should be emptied prior to the move. We do ask that people limit the contents of these drawers to furniture’s intended use. For example, do not load a cedar chest with heavy books.

Are you supposed to tip the movers?

This is a personal choice and up to each individual customer. Our movers don’t expect additional compensation, that being said, they would appreciate a gratuity.
