Foothill Unity Center provided gifts and meals to 1,000 families and more than 1,300 children this year at the 2017 Holiday Distribution. The movers at Pink Transfer were fortunate enough to help out with this event. Volunteers gathered to give back to large families at Ayers Hall in the LA County Arboretum and to help adult families at the Monrovia and Pasadena Foothill Unity Centers. But how did all those goods get transported to the event for the families to enjoy? Doug Pink and his team of Pasadena movers definitely had a hand in this because they helped deliver the holiday gift bags to the children at the LA County Arboretum during large family day.
The four-day event also brought in dedicated volunteers from families, schools and individuals from surrounding Pasadena-area cities ready to give back to the community during the holidays. Families had the opportunity to take a family photo to bring home as a keepsake. The volunteers didn’t forget that pets are family, too! The Foothill Unity Center Pet Food Bank provided holiday treats for the family pets.
